Contact the 4 VK9X stations active in July in any band or mode.

or

5 Qso�s in different bands or modes with any of these stations VK9XWW, VK9XHZ, VK9XOR and VK9XME.(example=  2 Qsos VK9XHZ 3 VK9XOR).

To qualify, the following conditions must be satisfied:

1. Establishment of two-way communication with any 25 (twenty-five) different amateur stations located in Zone 29. Only contacts made after 0800 UTC on 1st January 1952 are valid.

2. The total of 25 different stations may be obtained by operation on one or more of the authorised amateur bands, as applicable at the time of the claimed contact. Cross-band contacts will not be accepted.


3. Any type of emission as permitted by the local licensing authorities at the time of the claimed contact may be used. Cross-mode contacts will not be accepted.

5. Applications containing multi-band and multi-mode valid contacts will be accepted but the award will be issued with no endorsement.

6. Special endorsements, as listed hereunder,  will be displayed on the Award certificate, where applicable,  when all valid contacts fulfill the following conditions:

7. Short Wave Listener applications will be accepted and the Award certificate issued,  with appropriate endorsements as applicable, when all conditions listed above are complied with.

8. QSL cards are not required as proof of valid contactsbut the application must show that log extracts have been examined and verified by two other radio amateurs or the  Awards Manager of the applicants IARU affiliated radio society. A simple declaration that the applicants station has conformed to all licensing regulations as related to his operation is mandatory.

9. The fee for the Award shall be $2 (Aust) or 5 (five) IRCs for overseas stations.

WIA DXCC (VK) Australian and (DX) Overseas applicants
(The word �Entity� denotes Countries and Special areas combined.)

This award is available to all Radio Amateurs who submit evidence of having worked 100 approved entities, they can be endorsed for various bands (1.8-29, 52-144Mhz.) and modes. i.e. SSB, CW, FM, Data (Open = all modes).
Approved entities are those that are accepted for ARRL DXCC Awards, contacts are valid from 1PstP January 1946, with the WIA reserving the right to make different decisions in regard to additions and deletions.

Having obtained the DXCC award, holders may register subsequent claims for higher totals and these will be published twice a year in Amateur Radio Magazine in the form of a ladder and alternatively on our WIA website. (Phone-CW-Open-Data-Sat-SSTV-Fax) This can be omitted at your written request.

Applications for higher totals should be made in multiples of 25 up to a total of 200 and thereafter in multiples of 10 up to a total of 325. Special achievement award labels are available at 125,150,175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325. After a total of 325 are reached applications will be processed in one-entity steps or as required.
WIA Honour Roll award label is issued at the qualifying period, it is nine less the total DXCC entity list. WIA DXCC Excellence award label is issued at the qualifying period of working the total DXCC entity list. All achievement award labels are available; a small fee is required for these.
WIA DXCC Certificate series 2007 have been designed as a complete coloured mode set. Phone (Green), CW (Blue), Data (Maroon), Open (Brown). (sized A3).

Special endorsements can be requested for all approved single or combined modes and frequencies. Direct two way un-assisted contacts with Satellites (Sat) are included as from 1PstP of March 1965. Should an entity be deleted from the DXCC list, credit for that entity will be allowed if worked before the date of deletion. The DXCC ladder will show the number tally if worked before the date of deletion.
The DXCC ladder will show the members the valid entity list and the total of approved plus deleted entities. e.g. 200/220 meaning 200 current entities and an extra 20 that have been deleted at some time, but were worked before the date of deletion. All claimed QSO�s must be made from the same DXCC entity.
Submissions are approved using multiple Callsigns providing they are contained to one DXCC country.

Multiple Callsign applications licensed under the same name can only be accepted �once� and are not transferable; they will be registered under the Callsign of the application. (i.e. VK1ABC, VK2ABC, VK3ABC, VK4ABC, VK5ABC, VK6ABC, VK7ABC = VK8ABC your current callsign).
Operators using the facility of a registered Official Club Station can also apply for this award providing all contacts identify their names; the Certificate is awarded to the Club or Association Callsign in the applications name.
The operator must identify his/her membership of the Radio Club or Association in the application. Club Stations may also apply for this award providing that the operators Callsigns and Names are nominated on the QSL cards as the person who made the contacts, the Certificate is awarded to the Club Callsign in the registered Official Club or Association name. WIA members that have achieved DXCC from an overseas entity may also apply for this award.

Approved un-assisted Modes:
Phone = (SSB, FM). CW. Open = combined all modes.
Data = Digital, RTTY (Baudot, ASCII, Amtor, Packet, Packtor, PSK, JT, MFSK, MT, AFSK, Narrow Band FSK. etc)
MMSSTV, SSTV, ATV, FAX. EME.
Note: HF Phone FM is restricted 16Khz band width on 10m (29Mhz) only.
Approved assisted Mode: Sat = Satellite. (HF,VHF,UHF). (Separate DXCC Award)
Approved bands: H.F. & VHF 160m, 80-75m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m.
WIA DXCC Approved Entity list total = 337 Dated July 2006. (Deleted Entities = 58)
WIA DXCC Honour Roll list is set at -9 (approx:2.67%) DX Entities. = 328 Dated July 2006.
WIA DXCC Excellence Award is worked all current entities.

Satellite DXCC Award Rules. (sized A3)
This award is available to all Radio Amateurs who submit evidence of having worked 100 approved current entities with no "Deleted" entities.

Satellite DXCC is a separate award to cover past and current Satellite modes and bands.
Approved modes: Phone (SSB=USB&LSB, FM) CW, SSTV and all Data modes. Open = combined all modes.

Applications log data must include: Prefix, Country, Satellite, DX Station Callsign, Date, UTC, Mode.

Signal reports are not required, Band up-down links modes (HF, VHF, UHF) are relevant to each Satellite
