| On 25 and August 26, 2007 was carried out that could be the last expedition to the Medes Islands, as the area will close completely to the public and get permits has been really hard and difficult , travel, calls and bureaucracy, but the hard work carried out by Miquel EA3CHZ who got all the permits to do the activity. On the 24th the whole group meeting in Estartit, where we met some, others already knew for the first time and made ready for the Saturday morning board a boat from the Generalitat and in 2 two trips we unloaded all into the island. Due of the difficult and height of it, set up camp on the pier, which caused us the first criteria and discussions, and that we were completely plugged into Europe and Asia (Japan, etc ...) and clear to North and South America, we had be only 35 hours on the island so we could not carry all the equipment was up, since the increase is 10 minutes by a complicated way up battery and the group for a few hours so you do not see !! addition, the island is full of rats, mice, bugs, insects, etc. .... etc. Truth does not complicate our life, is a beating for so few hours, we talked and decided not to raise the majority, would have been better, we made a lot more press, but you have to assess everything and rate among all members. Christian EC3ADC decided to stick the beating and went up first, a battery, then a station and it changed everything from the highest position, but, this does not propagation as to make it, the group weighs a lot and the Monday following the Issue all had to return to work, one need not suffer any damage, sprain, etc ... This is a hobby!! At the end despite everything, we reach 1700 QSO's ONLY in SSB, as the teams we worked on CW, technical problems! We hope in a few years to make another with more time and if doing so from the top of the island, now we have the experience and future location of the camp.
